Over time, underground pipelines may develop leaks, leading to continuous wastage of valuable resources. Locating these leaks is challenging, but BVG Nuclear Private Limited has introduced a modern solution using a safe radiotracer technique called the Leak Pin Technique.
Small holes (3–6 inches wide) are drilled at specific intervals down to the pipeline without damaging it. A safe, drinkable radioactive tracer is injected into the pipeline, and detectors placed in the holes monitor its flow. Any loss of tracer between detectors indicates the leak’s location and size—without the need for extensive digging.
BVGNPL also offers advanced services like gamma column scanning, leakage and blockage detection, pipe scanning, and high-level waste disposal studies.
